Kia Opens Bookings for Carens Clavis EV: India’s First Made-in-India 7-Seater Electric Vehicle with 490KM Range
Kia India has officially opened bookings for its first locally manufactured all-electric 7-seater vehicle, the Carens Clavis EV, marking a significant milestone in the company’s electric mobility journey. The much-anticipated EV is available for reservation starting 22nd July 2025, with prices beginning at INR 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers can secure their units through Kia India’s official website or by visiting any authorized Kia dealership across the country by making a booking payment of INR 25,000.

- 42 kWh battery with an ARAI-certified range of 404 km (MIDC cycle)
- 51.4 kWh battery with an ARAI-certified range of 490 km (MIDC cycle)
These options provide flexibility for both city commuters and long-distance travelers. The EV also boasts fast charging capabilities, enabling 10% to 80% charging in just 39 minutes using a 100kW DC charger.
The car’s electric motors generate 126 kW and 99 kW of power respectively, delivering a robust 255Nm of torque. Paired with four levels of regenerative braking, controllable via paddle shifters, the vehicle ensures an efficient and intuitive driving experience.
